About Triton Austin
Triton Custom House was founded in 2006 by Tommy Roberts. A family-based company, Triton was established to provide honest, ethical, and dependable service in the homebuilding industry to the people of Austin. Their vision for serving Austin is three-pronged: to use their background in engineering to build quality homes; to ensure that the homebuilding experience is satisfying, easy, and rewarding; and to help enhance Austin’s beauty. The firm typically works on projects from $500k-$2M. The firm prides itself on the long-lasting loyal relationships they create with their clients. They specialize in building design, custom homes, home additions, and extensions. Triton also has extensive experience in home remodeling and new construction.
Triton’s Lake Travis Modern residence is a fantastic example of their work. The contemporary design suits this private home with extensive views. The kitchen and dining area use a color palette of white and cream with dark wooden accents. Unique light fixtures also adorn the space. A custom white backsplash is a subtly stylish touch. The family room has a bright green accent wall with plenty of gathering space. Another featured project is their Rough Hollow Parade Home. Elegant and modern, the space is full of contemporary and classical elements. A large pool and backyard area also give more space for gathering and entertaining. Yellow and golden accents are sprinkled throughout the home. A spacious master bath includes a custom closet and storage area.

About Eppright Homes
Founded in 1995 by Russell Eppright, Eppright Homes is one of Austin’s premier custom builders. The highly experienced professional team aims to make home-building as enjoyable as possible. Doug Clark leads as Eppright’s president and manager and has been involved with the company since 1997. Before Eppright, he earned the prestigious “Project of the Year” award from the National Association of Homebuilders. The firm aims to maximize the homeowner’s assets in creating a design and is committed to consistently working with the subcontractors to ensure high quality and efficiency. Eppright has established a budget-based design program that creates a budget with the client’s specifications before work begins. This ensures that the design will always meet the budget.
Eppright’s Lakeway Hilltop Contemporary residence, located in the new Las Colinas Estates at Serene Hills, is a great example of their work. Sitting on a site with mature trees and an expansive view over the Lake and Hill Country, this house is prime for entertaining family and friends. An open floor plan, covered porch, and an abundance of windows gives this home an extra welcoming vibe. A color palette of mostly blacks and whites were used, with wooden accent. Another featured project is their Stratford Treehouse. The house is situated right amongst the trees, which the design acknowledges. Stonework is used throughout the main floor for a calming effect. Simple wooden accents are employed throughout the home. A jacuzzi, an outside shower, and a garden round out the backyard.

About CG&S Design-Build
Founded in 1957, CG&S is a family-run construction business led by Clarence and Stella Guerrero. CG&S stands for “Clarence Guerrero and Sons” to reflect the whole family’s involvement. This design-build firm has built a solid reputation for quality and reliability that was passed on by word of mouth. The work ethic passed on from Clarence to his sons at every work site. In 1990s, the original Guerreros sold the company to their children. In 1994, Stewart Davis joined the team as architect and established the design studio. As the studio evolved, the firm became more design-build oriented and was rebranded as CG&S Design-Build. This award-winning firm has now completed hundreds of projects and has been in business for over 60 years.
One of their design-build homes is their Light, Bright, and Airy Project. Once a duplex, the now two-story home has a much larger kitchen for entertaining. The layout of the home was completely changed, and 500 square feet were added. Natural elements are combined with a modern design throughout the home. A backpainted glass backsplash and a two-story bookshelf give a stylistic flair to the dramatic home. Another featured project is their Transitional Pushes to Modern residence. The design retained many of the original parts of the house while introducing contemporary elements, like pendant lighting and a loft space in the children’s room. Extensive storage was added along the bedroom hallway. The design also included a fairly sizeable addition to the back of the home. The garage was renovated, as well as a multiuse space which acts as a mud room, dog room, and laundry room.
Moontower Design Build
828 Airport Boulevard, Austin, TX 78702
About Moontower Design Build
Moontower Design Build is a firm of both design-oriented and construction-familiar collaborators. Frank Farkash, Greg Esparza, and Jeff Munoz all serve as co-founding partners. They started out with small projects and remodels and have worked their way up to bigger projects. The 10-plus team now contributes their extensive knowledge in architecture, construction management, and interior design. Farkash and Esparza met while studying and collaborating at the University of Texas at Austin School of Architecture. They believe that all Austinites deserve a space “to chill outside and inside with loved ones and cold ones.” They typically work on projects in the $100-$400k range.
Their Lincoln residence used very few materials in both the exterior and interior. The monochromatic color scheme paired with wood accents makes the home stand out. A beautiful minimalist kitchen has open shelving that displays dishware. There’s also a backyard patio area with seating and a small garden area. Another notable project is their Central Austin Farmhouse Trimble. Moontower had worked with the homeowners before. They renovated the interior and completed a porch rebuild on this historic home. They edited walls and cased openings to improve the floorplan. Contemporary stains were used to spruce up the hardwood floors. A loft space was enclosed to carve out an additional bedroom. A porch swing/bed was also installed.

RRS Design Build is led by a husband and wife team, Randy and Cara. The firm specializes in high-end remodels and custom home builds in Austin and the surrounding areas. The firm offers 3D computer renderings to get a better understanding of the design, as well as an online client portal. Built on family values, the firm has made a commitment to improvement, informed by industry trends and feedback from clients and subcontractors. The firm annually attends Design and Construction Week. Randy and Cara both come from families in the building industry and were fascinated by design at a young age. RRS has been recognized by the National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI) with Best Kitchen Remodel and Best Bathroom Remodel awards. The firm also won two awards for their work on a whole home remodel and master bathroom remodel at the 2016 Master Design Awards and won a 2017 Star Award for Best Whole Home Remodel ($250-500K).
RRS Design + Build worked on a stunning home in Westlake Hills. Surrounded by nature and bordered by a running creek, the house’s natural beauty needed to be updated. While completely reworking the interior, RRS did not move or add to an exterior wall. A spacious open floor plan was designed in the Mid-century Modern style. The welcoming home has plenty of room for gatherings, which was the owner’s goal. RRS also designed the Belvedere Beauty residence. The family was expecting another child, so the remodel was broken into phases to have the least impact on the family. An office space and half bath were reconfigured into a nursery. New Wolf and Sub-Zero appliances were installed to increase storage space. New flooring and paint spruced up the home.

The firm is dedicated to continued education. They are always seeking out the latest building technologies and material built by veterans of the construction industry. Audino uses the same suppliers, vendors, and trade contractors that they cultivated relationships with from the start. In 2007, Remodeling Magazine named them as one of the Top 50 Remodelers in the Nation. The National Association of Remodeling Industry also named them Contractor of the Year in 2004, and the firm was named the Central Texas Remodeler of the Year in 2001. Working on everything from small, specialized projects to large, complex projects, Audino has served Austin for over 30 years.
Audino completed a whole house remodel for a gorgeous residence in Lakeway. Multi-level decks and stairways, made of IPE wood, were constructed on the exterior of the house. The dining room benefitted from new lighting, herringbone floors, and multi-sliding glass doors. The simple yet welcoming entryway has white oak floors in Herringbone pattern Tommy Kile. Kitchen cabinets with a white oak inset and glass shelving were installed with bronze fixtures. Audino also completed another whole house remodel for a Stratford home. The kitchen was redone with white and wooden cabinets. A large kitchen island with a white countertop provides room for five barstools. The dining room has a show-stopping chandelier. There is a backyard porch area with a gathering space that overlooks a pool and large yard.

The firm was also recognized as Remodeler of the Month by Qualified Remodeler. They were even featured on a national PBS program, Planet Neighborhood, due to their dedication to green building.
Katz Builders’ Travis Heights residence showcases their skill. A sage green, glass tile backsplash lines the kitchen walls and highlights the crisp white cabinets. Rope lighting underneath the countertop makes it pop in a subtle way. The master bathroom includes tall vanities, so both husband and wife can get ready in the morning with their own space. A mature tree in the front yard ties in the surrounding nature to the design. Katz also worked on another noteworthy project, the Lakeway residence. A Five Star Energy Home, this residence has closed cell spray foam, a metal roof, and high performing commercial windows. The home is tucked in the hills and has a 180-degree view of Lake Austin. Lots of open exterior space was developed, including a screened-in porch with a fireplace. An oversized laundry room has plenty of space for overflow from large parties, and also has a full-sized dishwasher, oven, and refrigerator for caterers.

About Austin Impressions
Austin Impressions worked on an Upper Northwest Hills residence, a 1970s home that needed some updating. The complete remodel took the house down to the studs. An open floor plan, upgraded kitchen and master suite, and energy efficient structure were the main highlights. The back exterior wall of the main wall was raised, and the fireplace was removed to provide for more light. The owners wanted a more formal entryway, so a pony wall was installed between the front door and the dining room. Austin Impressions is currently working on a custom green house in Spicewood Springs. The hilltop location allows for great views, so energy-efficient windows are included in the design. ICF or insulating concrete forms will be used to create low-maintenance, energy-efficient walls. Solar panels will also be installed on the roof to create a “net zero” energy use at the end of the year.
Owner John Gehlken leads the team at Austin Impressions. He brings over 20 years of entrepreneurial and corporate leadership to the position. Gehlken aims to combine highly professional in-house staff with consistent and high-quality subcontractors in architecture and design. Actively involved in the local remodeling industry, Gehlken has served on the Board of Directors for the National Association of the Remodeling Industry, Austin Chapter. Austin Impressions’ specialties include whole home renovations, room additions, kitchen remodeling, bathroom remodeling, outdoor rooms, and design and build projects. The firm follows a five step design process to ensure the highest customer satisfaction: free onsite consultation, decision-making guidance, creative design, construction, and a satisfaction guarantee. They have been recognized as a Contractor of the Year by COTY (Chicagoans of the Year) and NARI. The firm is also Austin Energy Green Builder certified.

Gingerwood’s Spanish Oaks residence is exceptional. The master suite was designed to mimic a contemporary luxury hotel room. A full-bed wall structure sets a bold tone. Before entering the suite, attention is drawn to a contemporary, mercury glass, multiple pendant chandelier. High-end fixtures and custom cabinetry were created for the design. Midnight blue and silver accents were used in the family room to complement the metallic elements in showcased, commissioned art. Another noteworthy residence is the Westview on the Lake home. Caviar and ice were the color inspirations for the master suite, with pops of jewel tones. Eclectic textiles, fabrics, and artwork were interwoven seamlessly into the room. Greek key blackout curtains hang over access to the courtyard. A black lacquer secretary serves as a workspace and storage.
